I took the beachbody challenge and loved it!

t25 photoA little over 10 weeks ago, I decided it was time for me to start a new fitness program. I had done P90x, Insanity, Turbofire, and Hip Hop Abs. I loved them all, but I wanted to try something new and needed something that I could do after a long day of work that would give me results, but was not very time consuming. Then I found about about the new program from Shaun T, T25! I watched the videos promoting it and read about the test results. I was hooked. I could totally do a 25 minute workout only 5 days a week.

I bought it right away! On August 5th, my first week of my new job I decided to take part in my own personal challenge.  I committed myself to drink Shakeology every day for my lunch and almost every day I came home and did my workout. I only had 2 weeks where life got in the way and I took a week off. Even on days that I was tired and sore and I wanted to make excuses for why I did not have time to workout, I somehow convinced myself I needed to do my workout because it is only 25 minutes. For 25 minutes I did not stop moving unless I pressed the pause button to allow myself to drink some water. Once I got to the second 5 weeks, the Beta round, I decided I needed something to help me to endure the workouts. I then decided to order the E & E preworkout formula form beachbody. It really worked. I took it about 15-30 minutes before doing my workout, and I then was able to endure the whole workout without pressing the pause button.

Now, here are my results.

I started August 6th at 142 pounds, 33″ chest, 29″ waist, 35″ hips, 23.5″ thighs, 12″ arms

Today on October 26th, I am at 136 pounds, 34″, 27 waist, 34″ hipds, 22.5 thighs, 12.5″ arms

The results are nothing drastic and I did not reach my goal, but I have PROGRESS! I am on track on my goal that I am working on. I also know there are reasons I did not reach my goal. I did not track what I was eating.

So the next steps

1. I am going to complete an other round of T25

2. Tracking what I am eating at myfitnesspal.com

3. Adding 3 days of week of extra cardio such as running, doing an eliptical, or another extra workout from other programs

4. Drinking more water

I realize that workout out is a journey and not a destination and I am not giving up. I took the challenge, saw some results, and now am ready to continue working towards my goal by challenging myself again.
