Today I decided to look at some old pics from my snapfish album and found the before pics from when I started P90X in January of 2006. I weighed about 137 pounds when I started. As I look at my before pic, my first thought was that I looked pregnant! At the end of the program, I was down to 125 pounds. I felt amazing.
I thought I knew how to eat healthy and felt amazing. Although…. P90x did have a great meal plan and the workouts were great, I soon gained all the weight back and then some. Within a year and a half I was up to 145 pounds.
I blamed it on my age, made excuses for why I did not have time to workout. I started to believe that this was just me, and I would never be able to get even close to 130lbs again.
THEN KRISTA DONOVAN CAME INTO MY LIFE, MY BEACHBODY COACH!!
Krista Donovan kept sending me invites for challenge groups. When I started beachbody, Shakeology and challenge packs were not around. I was so frustrated that I kept working out and thought I was eating healthy, but I could not lose more than a few pounds. Krista motivated me to not only get started on Shakeology, but she also motivated me to become a coach for FREE, so I could get the Shakeology for a discount. I did not want to coach, but wanted to save money. So I bought a challenge pack and got started on my weight loss journey again.
I AM NOT GOING TO LIE, IT WAS STILL TOUGH!!
I bought Insanity, and did not like it at al. It was too much for me. I fell of track after the first month. Then I saw Shaun T’s infomercial for T25, and thought maybe this would be more doable. I decided to give it a try. AND YOU KNOW WHAT!!?? I LOVED IT! It was just what I needed. I completed the whole program and felt pretty amazing. I finally got down to my original weight when I started my first beachbody program of 137 pounds.
THEN I HIT ANOTHER PLATEAU
I was pretty frustrated at first. Why can’t I lose more weight. I kept telling myself, “I am eating healthy, I am working out!” Why can’t I lose more weight. I again blamed it on my age and thought maybe the Shakeology is not helping.
THEN I HEARD ABOUT THE 21 DAY FIX!!
I kept seeing transformation posts about how much weight people lost in 21 days and thought “What the heck, might as well give it a try!” AND YOU KNOW WHAT?? I learned even though I was eating healthy items most of the time, I was also eating way to much fruit, not enough veggies, and WAY TO MANY CARBS! In only 21 days I lost 9 pounds. Since then I have continued with the program and have now learned how to incorporate the 21 day fix guidelines into my daily life.
I AM NOT ON A DIET AND WILL NEVER BE ON ONE EVER!!
I finally know what it means to eat clean and how to incorporate my fitness workouts into my daily life. I will continue to drink Shakeology every day, not to lose weight, but because I believe in the product and love how it makes me feel. I have so much more energy these days. At the age of 30, I feel better than when I was 20! I will NEVER EVER weight almost 150 again unless I am pregnant, and I will get back down to my current weight after having the baby, because I know what steps are necessary to achieve my target weight.

This pic is from the beginning of my transformation to how I look today! I am currently weighing 127 pounds and wear a size 5 in jeans! I am not done with my journey. Every day I work on my health and am currently trying to tone up my body. My focus is no longer on losing weight, but instead of feeling good about myself!
