21 Day Challenge Results

So I have finished another 21 day challenge.  It was not easy….. I feel of track many times, but I kept pushing through. I did not get some amazing results that I am proud of….but instead of having an amazing transformation pic or story to tell, I have lessons that I learned to share.

  1. I learned that I do best with routines. My first 2 weeks of the challenge, I was on vacation. I was sleeping in and traveling around. I enjoyed eating out with friends and nights of partying. Then I finally realized on week 2 that I needed to step it up. I got myself out of bed earlier, and worked to establish a better routine.
  2. Fail to plan…. and FAIL—–In the past when doing a 21 day challenge, I printed out my excel spreadsheet with sample meal ideas and made sure to log my meals in the 21 day fix app. I did not do this very well, so I really had no way to track what I was actually eating.
  3. Mindset is KEY- I have done many workout programs, and for some reason the 21 Day Extreme workouts are NOT my favorite. So many days I woke up with NO motivation to workout. But I finally realized a way to motivate myself….. start with a workout I do enjoy. So instead of skipping my scheduled workout, I started with something I enjoyed like Country Heat, Turbofire, etc. Then once I completed that workout, I found the motivation and energy to complete my 21 day extreme workout.

So…. today I have no pic to share… I am sure I can take one, and maybe I am a little more defined in places. I lost maybe 2 pounds doing this challenge. But what I gained is knowledge. I learned the importance of planning and positive mindset. Well… if you read this…. and have any knowledge to share with me or any questions…. let me know!
